34 year old Wendy Chason of Indian Springs is facing up to 10 years in prison after pleading no contest to the felony charge of indecency with a child.
Indecency With a Child: Woman Pleads No Contest, LIVINGSTON, July 18, 2012 - An Indian Springs woman is awaiting sentencing after pleading no contest for the charge of indecency with a child. The plea came just before jury selection was set to begin in Judge Robert Trapp's District Court. The trial was to be prosecuted by First Assistant Criminal District Attorney, Joe Martin. According to Martin, the sudden change was not part of a plea bargain. Chason and her husband, Jim Don Price were arrested in February of 2010 and charged with child sex crimes after a tip to authorities that Chason and Price had exposed Chason's children to pornography. The call led to an investigation. Price went to trial and lost and was sentenced to 32 years in prison in September of 2011. Chason is facing up to 10 years in prison for indecency with a child (a felony). The sentencing will be held at a later date in Judge Robert Trapp's District Court.
