Two Arrested for Sexual Offenses to a Child, LIVINGSTON, February 6, 2010 - On January 29, 2010 the Polk County Sheriff's Office received a complaint in reference to a possible aggravated sexual assault of a child. According to Detective Christopher Lima with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, a forensic interview was conducted of the victim and along with the interview and witness statements obtained, a search warrant, and arrest warrants were issued.
A search was conducted at a residence in the subdivision of Indian Springs. The search rendered evidence that was forwarded to the Texas Department of Public Safety for further analysis. The overwhelming evidence led to the February 3, 2010 arrest of Jimmy Don Price, 52, of Livingston who was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. Also arrested was Wendy Chason, 32, of Livingston. Chason was charged with indecency with a child. Child Protective Services was notified and the victim as well as another child were removed from the home. The case will be forwarded to the Polk County Criminal District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
