Hamilton Sentenced to 65 Years for Aggravated Sexual Assault, LIVINGSTON, May 26, 2016 - A Polk County Jury took a little over 3 hours to reach a decision to hand down a sentence of 65 years in the Texas Department of Corrections in the trial of 52 year old Mark Shawn Hamilton. Hamilton has a very dark history of extreme mental, physical and sexual abuse of women. The former law enforcement officer stood silently with his lawyer (Mike Davis) as District Judge, Kaycee Jones read the verdict. Afterwards Hamilton was allowed to hug his mom and his daughter before being escorted to prison. During impact statements, one of his victims stated "You had so many chances to change, but your ego stopped you. You're a very sick man". Another victim stated to Hamilton "You're now where you should be, and where you should've been a long time ago". A third victim told Hamilton "I hope that I can forgive you one day. I tried to help you". Hamilton's lawyer stated to Judge Jones that today he'll be filing an appeal. Hamilton will have to serve at least 30 years before he'll be eligible for parole.

Former Police Officer Guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault... Stories of Domination, Rape, Abuse, and Perversion Emerge in Court, LIVINGSTON, May 25, 2016 - On Tuesday morning (May 24) the trial of an accused rapist got underway in the 411th District Court of Judge Kaycee Jones. Former Police Officer, Mark Shawn Hamilton, could only sit and listen as the low points of his adult life were brought to light from the witness stand as his three ex wives testified and told dark, horrific stories of dominance, mental and physical abuse, rape, and sexual perversion. The stories from previous women in Hamilton's life had amazing consistency and showed a pattern of a perverted man who selfishly dominated his former wives (and a girlfriend). Everything Started in September of 2015when Hamilton's then girlfriend, came forward to the Polk County Sheriff's Office (at the urging of Hamilton's own daughter) to report the abuse that was being inflicted on her by Hamilton. This revelation set off an investigation into Hamilton's abusive relationship with his girlfriend that was just the tip of the iceberg. Since that time, Hamilton's then girlfriend has committed suicide (in San Jacinto County). When she came forward, Captain Ricky Childers with the Polk County Sheriff's Office contacted local Texas Ranger, Ryan Clendennan for assistance, as the allegations extended into neighboring counties. Mark Hamilton's 3rd Wife: In 2006 she married Hamilton. Both had children and a Brady Bunch type family merger was in effect. During their courtship in 2005, she stated that Hamilton treated her well, doted on her, and came across as very protective of her. Hamilton was living in a barn that wasn't suitable for a family with kids. She sold her own house and used all the profits from her sale to fix up his barn, making it suitable for a family. After marriage, she noticed that he began to change. He demanded all her time and was controlling. She stated that Hamilton would mistreat her daughters while treating his own daughters favorably. Hamilton forced her into anal sex the first week of marriage (during the marriage, she weighed only 90 lbs., today, she weighs 100 lbs). She stated that he demanded anal sex every week. She stated that he humiliated her, would talk down on her, routinely questioned her about where she was going, where she had been, and would force her into vaginal inspections as he would look for physical signs of possible sex with other men. She said that Hamilton would boast about people that he's killed. Once he told her that when he was a prison guard for TDC, he picked up an inmate and slammed him down and splattered the inmate's head on the floor. He told her that he broke another inmate's neck. In another story, Hamilton told her that he shot and killed a man in Louisiana when he was doing an extra job after hurricane Katrina. She stated that one day as he was cleaning a gun, he kept pointing the gun at her. Sick of the way she was being treated, she went into their bedroom and laid down to get away from Hamilton. A short time later, Hamilton came in (in the dark) and pressed a gun against her thigh and once again forced her (through fear and intimidation) into anal sex. She stated that during their entire marriage, she never wanted to have anal sex, but he would force himself on her. She stated that the pain was horrible and during the rape she felt like she was literally ripping apart. She recounted how Hamilton would make her grovel and crawl on the floor to him. Towards the end of their marriage, the anal sex rapes had tapered off to approximately once a month. Hamilton told her that if she tried to report the rapes that nobody would believe her because he was a policeman and that he was part of the police brotherhood. In 2009, she finally got away from Hamilton with help from her mom. After they divorced, Hamilton would come to her work and would threaten her in front of her coworkers. Mark Hamilton's 2nd Wife: Hamilton's second wife spoke from the witness stand and painted a picture of Hamilton's constant anger and jealousy if he wasn't the center of her attention. She stated that Hamilton would insist on anal sex against her will, and that if she didn't give in to his desires he would become mean to her. If she didn't comply, he would accuse her of infidelity. Hamilton would check her clothes, inspect her genitalia, smell her, and watch her. Hamilton would tell her how he had killed people. She stated that once when they were driving in a truck, pulling a horse trailer, he pulled to the side of the road, left their small children in the truck, and took her into the horse trailer and forced her into anal sex. She stated that the rapes were extremely painful and caused her to bleed. Mark Hamilton's 1st Wife: Hamilton's first wife stated that the pain from the forced anal sex would cause her to pass out from the pain from his penis. Prosecutor, Kari Allen asked her if there was any lubrication used, the victim stated that Hamilton would only spit on her. No longer willing to take the abuse, she divorced Hamilton. When she was living in her own home (after the divorce) she was awakened one night to find that he was naked and crawling into bed with her. Hamilton had gotten into her home. He told her that he was going to rape her, and that since he was a cop that nobody would believe her. She fought him for approximately 30 minutes before finally getting away and running from her home. Closing Arguments...
During closing arguments, District Attorney, Lee Hon stated "Mark Hamilton reinforces every negative stereotype about policemen that is out there". "He's a rapist and an abuser". Hamilton's Defense Attorney, Mike Davis told the jury that there were inconsistencies in the testimonies and an affidavit regarding the use of a gun and rape. Prosecutor, Kari Allen, gave an impassioned plea to the jury that Hamilton thought that, since he was a policeman, that he was above the law. She stated with fervor that "We must tell the world that we're not going to tolerate the crime of sexual assault". She continued, "...there's only one possible verdict; guilty". The jury deliberated for about three hours and returned with a verdict that Mark Shawn Hamilton is guilty of aggravated sexual assault. Hamilton is now facing 5 years to 99 years or life in prison for his perverted, evil deeds. Punishment phase of the trial is set for today (May 25).
