Robert Thacker of Livingston was sentenced to 20 years in TDC.

Arsonist Robert Thacker Pleads Guilty, Gets 20 Years, LIVINGSTON, February 16, 2010 - Robert Thacker pled guilty in District Judge Elizabeth Coker's 258th District Court to five counts of 1st Degree Arson on February 16, 2010. He was sentenced to serve 20 years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Thacker was charged with setting numerous fires from June to September of 2009 at his neighbor’s home on East Sherman in Livingston.  Fortunately, no one was injured in any the fires but the last fire set in September caused extensive damage to the home.

In 2005, Thacker was charged and convicted of starting several dumpster fires in the Houston Area.  At that time, Thacker was a volunteer firefighter in the Houston area. Thacker was sentenced to two years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the dumpster fires.
