Suspect Arrested in House Fire Case, LIVINGSTON, September 25, 2009 - A suspect has been arrested in connection with a house fire that occurred on September 21, 2009 in the middle of the night. Robert Leon Thacker was arrested by Livingston Police Officers Rob Atkins and Kevin Blackburn who were assisted by Harris County Arson Investigators and the State Fire Marshal. Thacker was booked into Polk County Jail and charged with Arson (First Degree Felony). Thacker is suspected of trying to burn down the house just 2 weeks earlier. Thacker resided next door to the house and would sit in a lawn chair and watch as the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department and emergency personnel would come and put out the fire that he allegedly started. Thacker is suspected of starting numerous other fires. The case remains under investigation by Livingston Fire Marshal Mark Taylor and other authorities.
