LISD Teacher Pleads Guilty, Gets 15 Years, LIVINGSTON, May 24, 2017 - A former LISD ROTC instructor pled guilty and received a sentence of 15 years in prison for improper relationship with a female student who was 14 years old. The instructor also pled guilty to indecency with a child. Herbert Nelson Lloyd, 58, of Livingston was arrested in July of 2016 by Livingston Police Department and charged with the crime. Lloyd pled guilty to the crimes shortly before trial was set to begin on Tuesday in Livingston. Lloyd agreed in the plea bargain to 15 years for the improper relationship and 12 years for the indecency charge (to be served concurrently). Additionally, Lloyd will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
