Marijuana Growers Changing Techniques, SCHWAB CITY, August 7, 2014 - Typically, marijuana fields are found near creeks, rivers, or ponds for a water source. Growers choose these locations for the water supply. But times are changing, yesterday's marijuana bust rendered over 6,000 plants (a small number compared to the previous week when police eradicated over 100,000 plants in Goodrich). But yesterday's grow featured a new twist, underground generators and a water well. With a water well, a creek or pond is no longer necessary. If a grower can fund a water well, he can be more selective about his location to establish his illegal grow for more strategic locations.
