Three Arrested in Drug Bust at Sands Motel, LIVINGSTON, February, 5, 2013 - At approximately 11 pm on Monday February 4, 2013, the Livingston Police Department began an investigation into illegal narcotics at a local motel while attempting to locate a burglary suspect. When officers arrived at the Sands Motel located off North Washington in Livingston, they knocked on the door of room 22. A white female opened the door, when she saw officers standing outside the room she immediately shut the door. Her nervous actions drew the officers' attention to this particular room with the possibility that the suspect might be in room 22. She gave the officers consent to enter. The Officers entered the room and identified Tiffanythea Jeanann Boyington-Ali, 30, and Michael Bradley Brown, 34 (both of Livingston).
A Third Person...
Once entering the room, the officers discovered a man hiding in the bathroom who was identified as Jodie Len Brown, 31, of Livingston. After identifying all the people in the motel room it was learned by officers that both Jodie and Michael Brown had active felony warrants for their arrest for parole violations.
Chemicals to Manufacture Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia...
While making the arrest officers observed several items of drug paraphernalia in the room along with items used to manufacture methamphetamine. The investigation continued and officers were able to recover evidence related to manufacturing methamphetamine, additonally, officers uncovered a controlled substance. All three suspects were charged possession of a controlled substance, manufacturing a controlled substance, and second degree felony possess chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. There was an additional charge of failure to identify fugitive from justice added to Jodie Brown due to him giving officers a false name before being arrested.
