Former LISD Teacher Facing Child Porn Charges is Denied Bond Reduction, LIVINGSTON, June 10, 2020 - A request by former Livingston ISD school teacher and coach Brian Edward Spivey to reduce his bonds presently totaling $750,000 for three charges of Possession of Child Pornography was denied today in a hearing held before 411th District Judge Kaycee Jones. Spivey remains in custody in the Polk County Jail following his June 1, 2020 arrest by the Livingston Police Department. Following the hearing which included testimony by Spivey, his wife and Livingston Police Detective Marty Drake, and arguments by defense counsel Lana Shadwick and Assistant District Attorney Nicole Washington, Jones ruled that the bonds would not be reduced and added additional bond conditions including house arrest and no internet access in the event Spivey were to make the bonds as presently assessed. The charges are pending review by a Polk County Grand Jury.
