Man Arrested for Burglarizing Injured Constable's Home, LIVINGSTON, July 28, 2012 - On the evening of Tuesday, July 24, 2012, family members of injured Pct. 4 Constable, Bubba Piper came home to get a few things and found their home allegedly being burglarized by a man. Returning home to get some things for the Piper kids, the family was out of town following a motor scooter accident that Constable Piper had been involved in in Houston, when they arrived they found their home occupied by Heath Dorris, 29, of Livingston. Detective Darren Crow with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was quoted saying, "Just the audacity of breaking into Bubba's house, knowing he was in the hospital". Dorris was placed under arrest and charged with Burglary of a habitation. Dorris has since been released on a $7,500 bond.
