Lieutenant Craig Finnegan is investigating the accident.
Tractor Accident Claims 1, LIVINGSTON, October 24, 2010 - Shortly after 6 pm on October 24, 2010, a tractor accident occurred near Wobbly Bobbly Road off FM-2457.  A large farm tractor was being driven by Gary Johns, 34, of Livingston.  Johns was using the tractor to pull an old mini van in a wooded area.  The vehicle allegedly got hung and stopped rolling.  Johns allegedly revved the engine in an effort to free the vehicle.  The vehicle didn't move causing the tractor's front end to pop up as the tractor flipped backward coming down on Johns crushing his chest.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.  Sadly, the EMS personnel weren't needed as the accident was fatal.  Lieutenant Craig Finnegan with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was summoned to investigate.  Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, Darrell Longino performed an inquest at the scene.  A first-call car from Cochran Funeral Home recovered Johns' body.  Johns leaves behind a wife, a 16 year old daughter and a 12 year old son.  According to witnesses, Johns also has a daughter whose grown and lives in another state.  The scene was cleared before 9 pm.

Craig Finnegan also investigated a fatal tractor accident in New Willard in January of 2009.
