25 year old Luis Hernandez-Torres of Livingston was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Driver Crashes Pickup, Arrested for DWI, LIVINGSTON, September 15, 2013 - At approximately 8 pm on September 15, 2013, a tan Chevy pickup driven by Luis F. Hernandez-Torres, 25, of Livingston, was north-bound on FM-350 South.  Hernandez-Torres apparently entered a curve too fast (near Florida's Kitchen), lost control and left the pavement to the left and appeared to have rolled his pickup.  The pickup came to rest upright in a ditch facing his opposite direction of travel.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Craig Taylor, Deputy Cody Hardy with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Trooper Kevin Burman with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Hernandez-Torres escaped injury and refused medical treatment.  Trooper Burman arrived and conducted a field sobriety test and placed Hernandez-Torres under arrest for driving while intoxicated.  Additionally, Hernandez-Torres was cited for unsafe speed and no driver's license.  Traffic was partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered the vehicle and it will be stored at Harrsion Body Shop in Livingston.

Special thank you:  Ken with Ken's Towing

Hernandez-Torres' pickup appears to have rolled and came to rest upright.
Fresh grass and smeared mud on the upper most parts of the pickup suggest a rollover.
Trooper Kevin Burman conducted a field sobriety test and placed Hernandez-Torres under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Hernandez-Torres' pickup was recovered by Ken's Towing.
