Corporal Ramey Bass is the accident investigator.
ANOTHER Double 18 Wheeler Rollover, LEGGETT, June 16, 2015 - At approximately 4:40 pm on June 16, 2015, a double 18 wheeler was south-bound on US-59 in the vicinity of Leggett (almost in the exact spot as an earlier 18 wheeler crash) just south of Big Man Road.  The driver, Louis Contreras, 39, of Houston, said that all of the sudden he lost control of his rig and slid into the center median.  His rig spun around and turned over on its passenger side.  One of the two trailers lost its load spilling a load of some kind of rods (not sure what kind of rods they were).  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant Lee Rogers with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Deputy Kenneth Fletcher (also with the Sheriff's Office) and Corporal Ramey Bass with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Amazingly, Contreras suffered no injuries and was able to refuse medical assistance.  Both the south-bound side and the north-bound side of 59 were partially blocked during investigation and cleanup.  At time of press (6:10 pm) the mess is being cleaned up.

Special thank you:  Ken with Ken's Towing

The rear trailer lost a load of rods. The rods appeard to be made of fiberglass, but neither the driver nor anyone at the scene were sure what they were.
Corporal Ramey Bass speaks with the driver, 39 year old Louis Contreras, of Houston.
Deputy Kenneth Fletcher (left) and Sergeant Lee Rogers (both with the Sheriff's Office) assisted Trooper Bass in investigation.
