Driver Rolls Vehicle on FM-1988, LIVINGSTON, May 22, 2012 - Shortly before 6 am on May 22, 2012, a gray Ford Explorer driven by Kandyce Leigh Beaty, 27, of Shepherd was west-bound on FM-1988 East. According to a witness in a vehicle behind her, she was driving erratically and swerving at about 50 miles per hour. Beaty's vehicle left the road to the right, jumped a driveway, took out a mailbox, and cut back left. Beaty's vehicle crossed back over the road and left the other side of the pavement and rolled coming to rest upside down facing east. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant Rob Thomas and Corporal Billy Duke (both the with Polk County Sheriff's Office) and Trooper David Flowers with the Texas Highway Patrol. Both Kandyce Beaty and her passenger (Patricia Danielle Golden, 30, of Livingston) sustained undisclosed injuries and were transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. According to Trooper Flowers, the accident remains under investigation with possible charges pending. A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Beaty's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 7:30 am.

Beaty's vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing.
