Fans lined up to see Booker-T's wild wrestling show.
Former WCW Big Name Star Booker-T Brings His Own Wrestling Show to Livingston, LIVINGSTON, July 26, 2009 - There were the freaks, the weirdos, the diving from the top rope, the devious managers, pretty women, and even one of the biggest names in professional wrestling as 5 time WCW Champion Booker-T brought his own wrestling show to Livingston for a night of high flying, hard hitting, body slamming, head stomping action. Booker-T himself served as master of ceremonies on an evening that featured 6 matches (one of which included a ladies match). Booker-T was scheduled to wrestle, but due to a recent knee injury, he wasn't able to. Booker publicly called out his opponent (whose stage name was "Pride") to apologize for not being able to square off. Pride came out a proceeded to call Booker-T a faker and accused Booker-T of ducking him. Booker-T was incredulous at Pride's insinuations of cowardice, and summoned another big name wrestler Vnaga Samoa who gladly came out and took care of business in Booker-T's stead. The evening was complete with the bad guys (who were soundly booed by the raucous crowd) and the good guys. There were even refreshments and a 15 minute intermission. After the show, Booker-T hung around inside the ring and signed autographs for adoring fans who lined up to meet the 5 time champ. Booker-T promised to come out again and even said they would come regularly if the show will catch on and get some support.
Editor's Note: I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to cover this story, but I must say, it was quite entertaining and 10 bucks well spent for a great time to watch a very well choreographed high flying good guys versus bad guys show that lasted for around 3 hours. The kids that attended really got into it and Booker-T himself proved to be a class act and a real showman who obviously knows the ins and outs and all the ropes of orchestrating a professional wrestling show. I'm honestly looking forward to the next show. I encourage anyone who may be looking for some clean and fun entertainment to come out next time. For 10 bucks you get a real bang for your buck.
