Major Accident Sends Driver to Hospital, LIVINGSTON, February 22, 2008 - At about 6:40 pm on February 21, 2008 a major accident occurred in front of Wal-Mart and Chevron on Highway 190 West in Livingston. A yellow GMC Sonoma was west bound on 190 when an east bound 1995 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Lizzy Levy of Livingston tried to turn into the Chevron parking lot. Levy pulled directly in front of the GMC and was broadsided by the GMC. There were ambulances at the scene from Lone Star EMS, and Americare EMS. There were also 3 Livingston police patrol units at the scene of the accident. The driver of the GMC (whose name hasn't been released yet) was transported by ambulance to Livingston Memorial Hospital. Levy was issued a citation for failing to yield right of way. In a strange twist to this story, moments after this accident occured, another minor accident occurred on the same road just a short distance further west in front of Wal-Mart. Moments after that, another accident occurred on the other side of the 59 overpass when a vehicle allegedly hit a pedestrian in front of CVS Pharmacy, but the pedestrian was okay.
