This is What the Leftists Always Do...
Okay, on April 5, I received an email from someone named Daria Ivanova. It was an email talking about the recent "March For Our Lives" that occurred in the wake of the Florida school shooting. There were school walk-outs across the country as students were apparently encouraged by leftist teachers (all levels of education in the USA has been taken over by leftist idealogues) to walk out of class and support the cause.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you surely heard newscasts on radio and television that showed large crowds of students berating the NRA, attacking the Second Amendment, chanting to take our guns or limit what guns that we're allowed to own. Anyone who publicly disagreed with the rabid group think was shouted down, insulted, called killers, nazis, and other unmentionables.
What's actually happened here is the leftist media (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NYT, USAToday, etc.) and leftist politicians swooped down on the Florida tragedy (like the buzzards they are) and seized upon the raw emotion of the young impressionable minds, putting in their minds that it's the fault of the NRA, gun owners, and an archaic U.S. Constitution (especially the Second Amendment) that needs to be abolished.
I watch various news sources and was watching all this and I was appalled (but not surprised) that the leftists, leftist politicians, and the dutiful so called "main stream" media would stoop so low, but that's what they've always done. I remember back in the early 90s when Republicans opposed a certain spending bill. The leftist politicians were saying that it's because the Republicans wanted block students from their lunches. Of course, the dutiful media servants did their best to spread the lie. It was all over the news that Republicans were taking the food out of students' mouths because they're just evil.
Okay, Back to that email...
When I read the email, I thought to myself that I'd have no part of this movement. So I responded:
Mam, don't waste my time with leftist propaganda. Then to make it clear where I stood regarding the Second Amendment, I posted a selfie holding a semi-automatic rifle. This morning, I opened my email and (
through email) was shouted down and called vile things. Here the email verbatim:
Mr. Willie Openshaw I am a Livingston / Polk County resident and I am appalled at the levels you would go to regarding threats to kids. I doubt you will post this on your site and I don't really care, but just thought you should know that we are making it known in Polk County of your actions towards the Kids town Hall this past weekend. I have attached the response from the Dayna Steele for Congress campaign and wonder if you will even read it. This kind of behavior is so outside the scope of believing. I will be openly advertising this kind of behavior because I do not believe your site deserves a voice in Polk County. We need more understanding these days instead of the "Crazy" Threats. In Closing...A has been radio personality in the Houston vicinity (
Dayna Steele) is running for Congress (
against our Congressman, Brian Babin). Steele took my picture and added it to her campaign website:
RIGHT HERE I could probably nail Dayna Steele for slander. The web page predictably attacks the NRA and myself. Back in the 80s when I lived in Houston, I used to listen to the radio station, KLOL (
aka Rock 101) and heard her daily, and actually enjoyed her show. Perhaps Steele partied too much with the rock stars and her brain is starting to short circuit? If Dayna Steele is willing to slander someone for political gain, then I would suggest to you that Dayna Steele is JUST ANOTHER leftist politician who wont hesitate to be a self serving, pocket lining, in the middle of the night pay raising, politically correct, government expanding, tax raising pig feeding at the troft.
NO THANK YOU. Dayna Steele says on that page that she wants to take my rifle that I'm holding in the picture. Ummmm... EXCUSE ME DAYNA! That rifle that I'm holding my protection for myself and my family in MY HOME! (and you want to take that from me? Really?). Folks, Dayna Steele OBVIOUSLY doesn't get it. She doesn't share East Texas values.
