Maintenance and Upgrades... LIVINGSTON, April 13, 2015 - According to a sign that was posted on Walmart's entrance doors, the Livingston Walmart Super Center informed its customers that they would be closing down for maintenance and repairs. Phone calls, texts, and emails were coming in to PolkCountyToday.com fast. One phone caller informed us that violence had broken out at Walmart. Editor, Willie P. Openshaw went into the store (after the call) at about 6:15 and, other than the store was robust with heavy shopping, for the most part, things were orderly and peaceful. Officers with Livingston Police Department were present both in the store and in the parking lot. Perishable items such as produce and meat were being sold at bargain basement prices. The store did not give a reopening date.
This sign was posted on Walmart's entrace doors.
