A tornado struck W&W Storage off US-190 West on Saturday afternoon and caused heavy damage to the facility.
Tornado Touches Down West of Livingston, No Reported Injuries, LIVINGSTON, July 15, 2017 - At approximately 3:30 pm on July 15, 2017, a tornado touched down a short distance north of 190 West. The tornado winds struck W&W Security Storage located at 4950 US-190 West and heavily damaged the facility. About half of the large metal building was destroyed as debris, including metal siding, insulation, and structural steel were strewn in the immediate vicinity. State Troopers were on the scene as well as a crew from Sam Houston Electric Cooperative to remove metal siding that was hanging from a power line. There are no reported injuries.
