Tornado Touches Down and Damages West Corrigan, CORRIGAN, June 22, 2014 - At approximately 3:30 pm on June 22, 2014, a tornado touched down in West Corrigan. Ground zero for the tornado was around Third Street, Front Street, West Street, and Magnolia Street. HUD apartments were reportedly hit fairly hard. Additionally, there were trees and telephone lines blown over. Utility trucks and workers from Entergy arrived to help get the town back on it's feet. Additionally, Corrigan Police Department was present to ensure order. Locals stepped up to help clean up the mess. One resident reportedly had a section of ceiling fall on her head, fortunately, she sustained on a knot on her head but was otherwise okay. There were no other reported injuries.
