Polk County DA Nabs Another "Top 8" With Cooperation From the State of Illinois, LIVINGSTON, June 10, 2008 - The Polk County Criminal District Attorney's Office has nabbed another Polk County Top 8 Most Wanted, as the Long Arm of the Law catches up with another fugitive. This makes the second Top 8 arrested in less than a week, and the third overall fugitive arrested from the Top 8. The following is a statement from Polk County District Attorney, William Lee Hon:
Another Polk County Crimestoppers 8 Most Wanted Fugitives has been captured. David L. Wright wanted for Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury that occurred in 2002 and a Bail Jumping charge from 2003. David Wright was indicted by a Polk County Grand Jury in 2003 for the offense of Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury and Bail Jumping. In 2004 David Wright was arrested in Shelby County, TN and was released by accident from Shelby County Jail and has been able to elude law enforcement for four years until now. On June 4, 2008, Wright was captured by the Illinois State Police when he was identified by officers on a child custody call for assistance. Wright is now awaiting extradition back to Polk County, Texas from Illinois.
