Man Arrested for Stealing Fuel, LIVINGSTON, November 29, 2015 - At approximately 9:55 pm on November 28, 2015, the manager for Livingston Chicken Express (James Black), was in the back parking lot of Chicken Express, and noticed something unusual going on in the back parking lot next door at Aaron's Furniture Electronics and Appliances. Black walked over and saw a man with a hose siphoning fuel from an Aaron's delivery truck. He asked the man, Bradley Lewing, 35, of Livingston, what he was doing. According to Black, Lewing reached behind himself (as if reaching for a gun). Black (a retired law enforcement officer) was armed and pulled his gun. He held Lewing at the scene until police arrived. Sergeant Darrell Newman, and Officer Dallas Early with Livingston Police Department were dispatched to the scene. Additionally, Corporal Adam Norris, and Deputies Victor White and Teddy Sims with the Polk County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to assist. Sergeant Newman placed Lewing under arrest for theft. The confusing part of this story is, why was Bradley Lewing stealing diesel when he was driving a gasoline powered car? According to Lewing, he had intentions of trading the diesel for fried chicken. Lewing was driven to Polk County Jail and booked in.
