Powerful Storm Slams Corrigan, CORRIGAN, June 7, 2013 - A late afternoon storm bore down on Corrigan on June 6, 2013.  Strong winds and rain down downed seemingly countless trees and power lines.  A number of residential structures were also damaged or destroyed.  Trees were also laid over on US-59 and a number of other roads.  Many areas lost electricity, and at time of press (June 6, 2013) much of the northern half of Corrigan and areas to the immediate north of Corrigan still does not have electricity restored.  Please scroll through the pictures below.
 
There was a storm that damaged Corrigan on May 24.
 
In 2008 Polk County was Hit Hard by Hurricane Ike.
