All proceeds will be going to the SPCA of Polk County. According to St Luke's Epicospal Church Youth Minister Patricia Swanky the small youth group that are under her and husband Richard's leadership are learning first hand what it means to do something for someone else. "We want the kids to want to do something for others" said Swanky. Although a small group of seven, they are making a big impact by giving of their time and service. Those who had the pleasure of bathing dogs and cars were members and friends of the youth group.
Participants were: Zabrina Kimberlin, Jordan Potter, Toni Hendrix, Allison Kendrick, Teddy Kendrick, Armando Kendrice, Justin Potter, Jared Mowles, Jeremy Heflin and Oliver Ouedraogl. Lauren Lacount, Professional Groomer of Lucky Dog Mobile Pet Grooming, was also available and offered free services.
The SPCA of Polk County encourages people that are looking for a pet, to stop by and see the great pets who desperately need good, loving homes. You may be suprised and find just what you are looking for.
