Man Who Burglarized L.I.S.D. Building Arrested, LIVINGSTON, December 2, 2010 - According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, on September 20, 2010, the Livingston Independent School District reported a burglary of a building on the compound where the buses are kept. The burglar took $12,000 worth of computers and diagnostic equipment. Detective Richard Delaney with the Polk County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation into the alleged burglary. After speaking with people who reside in the vicinity near the LISD Bus Barn, information led Detective Delaney to a man who was a newcomer to the area. Leandro L. Gonsales, 28, of Livingston, became a person of interest. The two month investigation culminated in a confession from Gonsales when on November 24, Gonsales was brought into the Sheriff's Office for questioning. During the interview, Gonsales confessed to the burglary and led investigators to all the stolen property which was recovered. Gonsales was arrested and charged with burglary of a building.
