Alleged Thieves Arrested, Plethora of Property Recovered, SCENIC LOOP, November 7, 2017 - On Thursday, November 2, 2017, search warrants were obtained and served on three separate addresses located off of Scenic Loop and Cedar Point. Stolen property consisting of a motorcycle, weedeaters, chainsaws, backpack blowers, etc., were located and recovered from all three addresses and had previously been reported stolen from Walker County, Harris County, Splendora, and Tennessee. The Criminal Investigative Division launched an investigation into the matter, which resulted in arrests made on Timothy Ponkonin and Tommy Jones, both of Livingston, Texas, for Theft (Possession of Stolen Property). If anyone is able to provide any further information pertaining to this case or another case involving Timothy Ponkonin or Tommy Jones, please contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division at 936-329-9029 or call Crime Stoppers at 936-327-STOP where you can remain anonymous and may collect a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
