Onalaska Man Charged with Murder, ONALASKA, September 29, 2020 - On September 28, 2020, approximately 11:10 PM, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received 911 calls and responded to a residence located on FM 3186 in Onalaska pertaining to a gunshot victim later identified as 28 year old Kevin Wayne Kelly who was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Herman Hospital in the Woodlands where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives along with Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded discovering the male victim where medical attention was being administered. The shooter later identified as 34 year old Branch Adam Williams of Onalaska was later located in a wooded area near the home along with the firearm used in the shooting.
An investigation conducted by Polk County Detectives lead to the arrest of Branch Adam Williams for the offense of Murder, additional charges in the investigation are pending.
