3 Arrested (so far) in Case of Man Being Attacked in His Own Home, LIVINGSTON, September 28, 2017 - Sheriff Hammack reports his Criminal Investigation Division has made three arrests thus far and has obtained an arrest warrant for another suspect in the case where a man was allegedly assaulted and held captive at his own home. On September 26, 2017, the following suspects were arrested in the Indian Springs Subdivision on arrest warrants of Burglary of a Habitation/Intent Other Felony. The three suspects arrested on the felony 1 offense were, Shonda Lorraine Lawson, 34, of Livingston, Christopher James Dorn, 17, of Livingston, and Carson Mahoney Smith, 22, of Livingston. All three reside in the Indian Springs Subdivision. At time of press, all three are being held in Polk County Jail. Detectives are currently searching for Dalton Gip Wells also a resident of the Indian Springs Subdivision who detectives hold an arrest warrant for the same crime. Detectives are asking any person with information in the home invasion in the Indian Springs Subdivision on September 20, 2017 and or the location of Dalton Gip Wells to contact Lt. Man Assaulted and Held at His Own Home, Escapes, INDIAN SPRINGS, September 27, 2017 - Sheriff Hammack reports on September 20, 2017, his office received a call pertaining to a male subject reporting he had been kidnapped and assaulted from his home in Indian Springs before being able to break free from his captors where he was then able to make his way through the woods to a home off Richardson Rd.
The victim was transported to CHI St. Lukes Hospital for assault injuries where he was treated by medical personal and later released. The victim while at the hospital advised detectives unknown persons entered his home by force where they removed items from his home forcing him into a vehicle where during a couple of hours he was bound with tape and assaulted by four individuals consisting of one white female and three white males.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office has obtained leads in the investigation as of press time which are currently being followed up on with arrest expected to be made. Detectives are asking any person with information in the home invasion in the Indian Springs Subdivision on September 20, 2017 to contact Lt.
