Couple Allegedly Prey On Elderly, Caught by Detectives, LIVINGSTON, September 23, 2022 - On August 31, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible elderly abuse/exploitation. Detectives immediately initiated an investigation into the allegations and determined that a previous employee and caretaker of the elderly victim was fraudulently using the victim’s financial accounts to forge checks and to make unauthorized ATM withdraws and credit card transactions, for herself and common law spouse. Detectives quickly identified the suspects in this case and felony warrants were obtained for 56 year old Nancy Kay Boyd, of Onalaska, and 50 year old Jeffery Allen Kline, also of Onalaska, both for Exploitation of Elderly Individual and Financial Abuse of Elderly Individual.
On September 21, 2022, Nancy Boyd was arrested on her warrants and was booked into the Polk County Jail, on a $50,000.00 bond. Jeffery Kline is believed to be residing in or around the Houston area at this time and his warrants are still active.
