Another Alleged Burglar in Possession of a Controlled Substance, LIVINGSTON, September 11, 2013 - The continuing investigation of residential burglaries in the Indian Springs and Wilson Lake Estates subdivisions resulted in another arrest on Friday, September 6, 2013. Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a crime stoppers tip indicating a residential burglary was going to occur at a house in Wilson Lake Estates. The suspect was wearing socks on his hands and was carrying a mesh tote bag to haul off stolen property.

The subsequent investigation also cleared three burglaries in the Indian Springs subdivision which were reported on July 20, 2013. Detectives were lead to a residence on Matheus Rd. in Indian Springs where they recovered a DVD player and a weedeater which were reported stolen during these burglaries.

The suspect, Tony Franklin Burnett, 21, of Livingston, was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary of a Habitation and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Two more residential burglaries will be forwarded to the Polk County District Attorney for presentation to a grand jury.
