Jim Olin McLain, 42, of Livingston

Livingston Man Charged with Possession of Child Pornography, LIVINGSTON, September 8, 2021 - According to Sheriff Byron Lyons, on September 8, 2021, 42 year old, Jim Olin McLain, of Livingston, was arrested on several counts of third-degree felony possession of child pornography.

On August 26, 2021, Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives began looking into McLain after numerous images and video were discovered on electronic equipment belonging to McLain. The videos and images depicted young children displayed in numerous sexual acts.
 
Polk County Sheriff’s Office Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for McLain, as well as a search warrant, for his residence. McLain was arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail, without incident.
  
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office works tirelessly to protect children by using the latest investigation technology to track down some of the most profoundly evil online predators.  Sheriff Lyons urges all parents and teachers to become aware of the risks children face on the internet and take steps to help ensure their safety.
