Jeffery Andrew Bryant, 53, of Livingston

Livingston Man in Hot Water for Alleged Child Pornography, LIVINGSTON, August 12, 2016 - Sheriff Kenneth Hammack reports that on July 29, 2016, the criminal investigation division of the Polk County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation pertaining to an individual being in possession of child pornography.  A local business alerted the Sheriff's Office of a cell phone inside their building.  An employee found a cell phone that was left by a customer.  When the business viewed the cell phone's contents in order to contact the customer who left it, one employee observed several photos which he suspected of being of underage children leading him to report the matter to the Sheriff’s Office. Detectives trained in child pornography observed several photos labeling these photos as child pornography.

Detectives received a court ordered search warrant to further examine the cell phone.  Further investigation revealed the suspected owner of the cell phone to belong to Jeffery Andrew Bryant age 53 of Livingston, TX.

After further review of the photos and evidence revealed, an arrest warrant was obtained from the office of Justice of the Peace, Jamie Jones for the charge of Possession of Child Pornography.

On August 10, 2016, Jeffery Andrew Bryant was arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail under a $10,000.00 bond set by Justice of the Peace, Larry Whitworth.
