Coldspring Man Arrested for Meth and Firearm, LIVINGSTON, July 31, 2024 - On July 30, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Narcotics Division, with assistance from the DPS Criminal Investigation Division, responded to a call at the Economy Inn, in Livingston concerning an occupant of the motel allegedly in possession of firearms and methamphetamine.
The investigation, which followed this tip, led to a search warrant being obtained for the premises.
During the execution of the search warrant, officers discovered Fred William Robinson III, 43, of Coldspring, in possession of methamphetamine. Robinson was also in possession of two firearms. Robinson, a convicted felon, was subsequently charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Additionally, a second occupant of the room, Ericka Woodruff, was identified in connection with this case. Arrest warrants have been issued for Woodruff; however, she was not present at the scene when detectives arrived. Law enforcement is actively seeking her location and cooperation.
