Spencer Smith, 32, of Livingston

Polk County Law Enforcement Successfully Apprehends Top 10 Wanted Sex Offender, LIVINGSTON, July 30, 2024 – On July 18, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigations Division (CID), successfully apprehended Spencer Alexander Smith, a Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitve, following an extensive search across the Polk County area.

The operation involved hours of diligent searching and coordination between local and state law enforcement agencies. Their tireless efforts culminated in taking this wanted fugitive into custody without incident.

Spencer Smith, 32, of Livingston, will face charges related to two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Smith is currently incarcerated in the Polk County Jail, on bonds totaling $1,000,000.00.

This arrest highlights the ongoing commitment of the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and its partners to ensuring the safety and security of our community. The department urges anyone with information about criminal activity to contact local law enforcement.
