Enterprise Used in Alleged Scamming Operation, LIVINGSTON, July 10, 2013 - Over the last several weeks, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office has received several complaints in reference to fraud. Victims contacted ads in the Polk County Enterprise advertising “Loans: good credit, bad credit, no credit. Home loans, personal loans, business loans”.
Victims contact a series of (866), (876) and (888) numbers and spoke with representatives offering them loans. They are sending out (usually by fax) loan application and approvals with the heading “Patterson Commercial Lending, LLC which is based out of Bossier City Louisiana”.
Victims are asked to send in MoneyGrams for different amounts covering processing fees and loan insurance. The loans never come and people are bilked for more money to complete the loan process.
We ask that you are careful with answering ads out of the paper for loans. If you are a victim of this scam we ask that you contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to make a report.
