2 Livingstonians Charged in Murder of W.V. Woman, WILSON LAKE ESTATES, June 25, 2024 - On the evening of Saturday June 15, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received 911 calls, in reference to a shooting, in the 500 block of Wilson Lake Estates Road, in Polk County. Deputies and Detectives quickly responded to the scene, along with EMS and Segno Volunteer Fire Department. When detectives arrived, they discovered a deceased female, identified as 38-year-old Jillian Rasnick, of West Virginia, who had sustained a gunshot wound.

The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred between the victim and homeowner leading to the shooting incident. The public was never in any danger. Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Terri Mayer, assisted in conducting an inquest and ordering an autopsy to be performed by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, along with the assistance of the Polk County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Rangers Office, and the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The investigation led to the arrest of 65 year old, Robin Crum and 46 year old Christopher Crum, both of Livingston. On Friday, June 21, 2024, Robin and Christopher were charged with Felony Murder in connection with Jillian Rasnick’s death and are both currently being held on bond, in the Polk County Jail.
