47 year old Gary Eugene Penton, Jr., of Livingston, was caught and arrested for burglary, but his accomplice got away (but we have pictures).
One Burglar Caught, One Still at Large, LIVINGSTON, May 28, 2021 - On May 25, 2021, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen who was alerted by his home security cameras of two male subjects inside of a building located on his property, near Mangum Road. The complainant gave an accurate description of the offenders as Deputies responded to the area.
Deputies and Detectives quickly arrived and located signs of forced entry into the building and located several items of value placed by the door.
After conducting a search of the area, one of the suspects who was seen on the complainant’s security camera was located and detained. This subject was immediately identified as Gary Eugene Penton, Jr., 47, of Livingston. Penton was also found to be in possession of an item that was just stolen from the complainant’s property.
Penton was arrested without incident and booked into the Polk County Jail, on a felony charge of Burglary of a Building.
Detectives are currently attempting to identify the other suspect involved in this burglary. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public to view the two attached surveillance video photos of the second suspect involved.
