Christopher Lee James, 40, of Livingston
Situation Defused:  Fugitive Holed Up With Woman and Children, SCENIC LOOP, May 24, 2024 - On May 23, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve felony warrants on Christopher Lee James, 40, of Livingston, Texas, at a residence in the Shelter Cove subdivision, off of Scenic Loop.
 
Upon arrival, Deputies positively identified the wanted subject as being in the residence and began giving him instructions to exit the residence, in which he failed to comply. Christopher barricaded himself in a rear bedroom with his wife and two minor children.
 
As Deputies and Detectives surrounded the residence, Christopher was observed exiting the bedroom. Once out of the bedroom, officers then made entry into the residence and he was taken into custody without incident.
 
Christopher was charged with the following:
1. Possession of a CS (methamphetamine)
2. Tampering/Fabricate Physical Evidence
 
The following (3) active Warrants were also served on Christopher:
1. Bail Jumping and Failure to Appear (Felony)
2. Bond Forfeiture/Possession of CS PG1<1G
3. Possession of CS PG1>4G
