6 Arrested in Marijuana Bust, INDIAN SPRINGS, May 16, 2020 - On april 22, 2020, detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received information on the whereabouts of Steven Chreene in Indian Springs who was wanted out of pardon and parole. They also had received tips in reference to Chreene selling large amounts of methamphetamine in Indian Springs.  When detectives arrived at his address off of Fagan Drive, they made contact with Blake Galloway, Kimberly Fontenot, and Dennis Young.  The property had two travel trailers, one was identified as steven chreene’s and the other was identified as dennis young’s and kimberly fontenot’s.  Chreene was not at his residence at the time.  Detectives obtained a probable cause search warrant for the property.  During the search, they found a large amount of methamphetamine, illicit pills, firearms, and marijuana. Young, Galloway, and Chreene are convicted felons and are not allowed to possess firearms.  A rifle was found that had been sawed off which made it a prohibited weapon due to the length.  Galloway, Young, and Chreene were all charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and all subjects were charged with possession of methamphetamine,  Additionally, Fontenot and Young were charged with prohibited weapon-short barrel firearm.  During this investigation a white Chevy SUV continued to circle the property.  After the search warrant was complete, detectives observed the same vehicle travelling on Pichetto Trail where probable cause was observed to stop the vehicle.  The occupants were identified as Charles Horton and Raymond Arnett.  Detectives observed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Marijuana was found.  Detectives were able to obtain probable cause for  a search warrant for Horton and Arnett’s residence which were next door to Chreene’s residence.  A larger amount of marijuana was found with their mother Christina Horton.  Christina and Charles Horton, and Arnett were all charged with possession of marijuana.
