Hammack's Special Response Team Arrests 4 on Felony Drug Charges, Organized Crime Following Lengthy Investigation
CORRIGAN, May 6, 2009 - On May 5, 2009, the Polk County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT) executed a search warrant and served felony warrants at a residence on Martin Luther King in Corrigan. SRT team members took three suspects into custody and later a fourth suspect at a different location. During the search, it was confirmed that the occupants of the residence located at 407 MLK had a working narcotics operation involving the sale of marijuana, crack cocaine, and cocaine. SRT members located approximately 4 ounces of powder cocaine, 18 grams of crack cocaine and 3/4 of a pound of marijuana. The approximate street value of the illegal narcotics found is estimated at $14,000. There were three individuals arrested at the target location during the search and one suspect was arrested an hour later at a different location in Corrigan. Arrested at the MLK location was Lawrence William Franklin, 51, Claudia C. Criswell, 28, and Loquetira Yvetta Potts, 28.

Franklin was charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, manufacture and delivery of crack cocaine, manufacture and delivery of cocaine (all first degree felonies), and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver (state jail felony). Franklin also has an outstanding federal warrant issued by the U.S. Marshall's Office on a motion to revoke his parole.
Claudia Criswell and Loquetria Potts were both charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, manufacture and delivery of crack cocaine, manufacture and delivery of cocaine (all first degree felonies), and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver (state jail felony).

Approximately 1 hour later, members of the team went to a second location on North Magnolia in Corrigan and located a fourth suspect that was involved with this case. David Phillip Hulett, 48, was arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. A warrant is still outstanding for a fifth subject who has not yet been located. Kerry Tirell Moore is wanted for engaging in organized criminal activity.
