24 Year Old Man Charged with Child Sex Crimes, LIVINGSTON, April 19, 2019 - Polk County Sheriff Kenneth Hammack reports that on April 4, 2019, the Criminal Investigation Division began an investigation into allegations of two female children age 14 and 13 suspected of being sexually abused on several different occasions. Detectives discovered during their investigation that 24 year old Eugene Frederick Schneider currently residing in Nederland, TX. had sexually abuse both female children on separate occasions and at least two times molested the children together making the children preform sexual acts on each other. During the times of the abuse Schneider resided in Polk County and had access to the children. Both children were forensically interviewed at Polk County’s Child Advocacy Center, Childrenz Haven at which time due to the allegations made by the children, sexual assault exams were conducted at Chi St. Luke’s Hospital SANE suite. Further investigation and evidence obtained by detectives lead to the arrest of Eugene Schneider on April 11, 2019. Schneider was booked into the Polk County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and a charge of Sexual Assault of a Child. Bonds were set by JP 2 Sarah Rasberry at $200,000 and $100,000 collectively. On April 16, 2019, and investigation hold and $500,000 bond was placed on Eugene Schneider for AFFIDAVIT FOR RELEASE SEXUAL ASSAULT by Orange County. Sheriff Kammack ask that anyone with knowledge or suspicions of Eugene Frederick Schneider committing these type acts to contact Detective Lt. Craig Finegan at 936-329-9028. Sheriff Hammack would like to address the agencies of Polk County consisting of law enforcement, District Attorney Office, Childrenz Haven, Child Protective Services and Chi St. Luke’s Hospital SANE Nurses for their commitment and hard work in investigating and prosecuting these actors that molest children in our community.
