Another Child Mollester Behind Bars, LIVINGSTON, April 8, 2011 - On March 23, 2011, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division received information pertaining to allegations of sexual abuse to a 14 year old female residing in Polk County. Lieutenant Craig Finegan with the Polk County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation consisting of a forensic interview being conducted by Childrenz Haven. The child victim was reported to have been sexually molested over a period of six months by her mother’s boyfriend, 51 year old Wolfgang Lantzsch who also resides in the home.
Further investigation pertaining to a sexual assault exam conducted on the child showed signs of possible sexual abuse. Later into the investigation the suspect was located. Authorities requested that Lantzsch come to the Sheriff’s Office for an interview. During the interview, Lantzsch admited to having a sexual relationship with the child at least four times within the last six months. The following day an arrest warrant was obtained for the arrest of Lanantzsch, but when deputies arrived at his residence he was discovered to have attempted suicide by taking an unknown amount of prescription medication. Lantzsch was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Lufkin Memorial Hospital.
Wolfgang Lantzsch was released from the hospital on April 6th. Upon his release, Lantzsch was arrested by the Lufkin Police Department and later transported to the Polk County Jail where he is being held on a $1,000,000.00 bond for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child along with an INS Detainer warrant.
