Large Amounts of Marijuana and More, 2 Arrested, CRYSTAL LAKE, April 7, 2020 - On April 2, 2020, the Polk County Sheriffs Office received a call in reference to a homeowner arriving to their rental property off East Highland Drive in the Crystal Lake Subdivision and observing what they believed to be illegal narcotics being moved out of the residence by the tenants that were being evicted. Deputies and Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division arrived on scene and initiated an investigation. Detectives obtained consent to search the residence where they uncovered evidence that lead them to believe the tenants, identified as Randall Millslagle Jr. and Janessa Martinez, would be in possession of a large amount of marijuana and the items used to distribute it. While speaking with the tenants they gave a description of the residence they were moving to. The detectives then left the residence of East Highland Drive and located the residence that Millslagle claimed to be moving to (off Fannin St and Old Highway 35 North). Detectives observed and made contact with a subject that ran into residence. The subject came back out when detectives ordered him to do so. This subject claimed the residence belonged to Millslagle and Martinez and probable cause was obtained for a search warrant into the residence. A search of the residence revealed over three pounds of marijuana, two bottles of codeine, 8 grams of THC resin (marijuana wax), over two thousand dollars, and the tools and items used in the distribution of illegal narcotics sales. Millslagle and Martinez were charged with manufacture and/or delivery of a controlled substance in (first degree felony), possession of marijuana a (felony), and manufacture and/or delivery of a controlled substance (felony).
