Phillip Allen Fielder (center) received 4 citations from Deputy Mike Nettles.
If you're going to check out what the cops are up to, here are some dos and don'ts...
SCENIC LOOP, April 6, 2012 - If you see the cops in your vicinity coducting a drug bust, and you want to go check it out, make sure that you're nice and legal first (before wandering around the law). On the afternoon of Good Friday (April 6, 2012), Deputy Mike Nettles was doing his job and keeping a scene secured outside of a mobile home located on Nottingham road near Scenic Loop. The scene was a drug bust. A local (Phillip Allen Fielder, 47, of Livingston) saw what was going on and decided to go and check it out. Fielder drove up in a tan 1991 Nissan Pathfinder. Nettles being a trained and very experienced cop immediately noticed that Fielder's vehicle had no license plates and a dangerous windshield that was shattered and barely holding together. Nettles stopped Fielder and requested his driver's license (Fielder had no DL and no insurance). Fielder was issued 4 citations for: No driver's license, no insurance, no license plates, and defective windshield. To add insult to injury, Fielder's passenger didn't have a DL either so they weren't allowed to drive the vehicle. They could either have the vehicle towed, or push it home. Fielder received his 4 citations and pushed the vehicle home.
Phillip Allen Fielder and his passenger pushed their 1991 Nissan Pathfinder home (neither one had a valid diver's license).
