Burglar Caught Red Handed, LEGGETT, March 28, 2020 - On March 27, 2020 a Deputy with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was patrolling in the area of Fagan Farm Road (Vicinity of Leggett) when he observed a male subject exit a residence carrying items. The deputy knew that the suspect did not reside at the residence which is not frequently occupied.
The Deputy attempted to further investigate the situation and the suspect identified as Robert L. Willis Sr., 48, of Leggett. Willis suddenly fled on foot and was taken into custody after a brief chase. After further Further investigation, it was that determined Willis had stolen items from the residence and was additionally charged with Burglary of a Habitation along with evading arrest or detention.
