Man Arrested for Sexual Assault After 15 Year Old Gives Birth, LIVINGSTON, March 15, 2014 - Sheriff Kenneth Hammack reports his Criminal Investigation Division Sex Crimes detectives have arrested Joseph Kaleb McKeone, 30, of Livingston, for the offense of Sexual Assault of a Child. McKeone is currently being incarcerated in the Polk County Jail.
Sex Crime Detectives conducted an investigation after a 15 year old female made an outcry of sexual abuse by McKeone after becoming pregnant and giving birth to a child fathered by McKeone due to the sexual assault.
The crime is reported to have occurred around July 2012. The victim came forward after the child was born. DNA evidence points to McKeone as the prime suspect. Due to all information obtained during the investigation an arrest warrant was issued for McKeone’s arrest. Detectives arrested McKeone at his home in Polk County.
