19 Year Old Corrigan Youth Charged With Child Sex Crimes, LIVINGSTON, February 25, 2016 - Sheriff Hammack reports on January 31, 2016, detectives conducted an investigation into male children being sexually molested by an adult male. Detectives learned that a 7 year old child had allegedly been molested by Nicholas Lee Waters, 19, from the Corrigan area. Through forensic interviews conducted by Polk County’s Child Advocacy Center Childrenz Haven, detectives further discovered a 14 year old had also allegedly been molested by Waters.
Detectives obtained sufficient evidence to secure an arrest warrant for the offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child against Waters. Waters who by this time was now residing in Shenandoah Iowa. Polk County detectives along with the assistance of Shenandoah Police Department arrested Waters where he was interviewed and confessed to the molestation of both male children.
Additionally, Waters was charged with the offense of sexual assault of a child for the molestation of the 14 year old. Waters agreed to be extradited. He was transported, and arrived to the Polk County Jail on February 24th and is currently being held under bond for $100,000 with an additional bond pending.
