Sheriff's Office Makes Multiple Busts for Drugs, Warrants and More, GOODRICH, February 23, 2017 - On February 23, 2017 the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received information about illegal drug activity off of Coy Dodson Road in Goodrich, according to Sheriff Kenneth Hammack. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office found illegal narcotics in plain view and a search warrant was obtained. During the search of the residence, methamphetamines were found. Jason Barber, and Shelly Ivey both were arrested on outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled substance (felony).
Detectives observed Johnathan Brown living next door who had a felony parole warrant out for his arrest. Brown ran out the back door of his residence and ran into some nearby woods where he was later found. A search of the scene, revealed over four ounces of marijuana that was packaged for sale or distribution. Also arrested at the residence was Johnathan Brown and Destiny Valderez (Both charged with Possession of Marijuana).

Detectives attempted to make contact with the owner of the trailer park and discovered a stolen travel trailer that was reported stolen out of Harris County. Lacasta Mask was found inside the stolen travel trailer and she was also arrested on outstanding warrants for evading arrest.
This is not the first time Detectives has made several arrests at this location. Last year several people were arrested for Burglary of Habitation, possession of methamphetamine, and another stolen travel trailer was recovered from this location. These subjects were arrested for breaking into numerous residences in the Goodrich Area.
Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are working with prosecutors from the District Attorney’s Office to identify, target, arrest and prosecute these repeat offenders and continue to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Polk County.
