Livingston Man Facing Murder Charge, ACE, February 8, 2023 - On Thursday, February 2, 2023, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a female advising that her nephew had been stabbed. Deputies responded to the residence, located near the 2500 block of FM-2610, in Polk County.
Deputies and EMS personnel arrived on the scene and located a deceased male victim, identified as 47 year old, Michael Shane Treadway, of Elgin. Deputies also located the suspect on the scene, who was identified as 67 year old, Michael David Treadway of Livingston.
Detectives initiated an investigation into the incident. Subsequent to their investigation, it was determined that Michael David Treadway, stabbed Michael Shane Treadway, after an argument and physical altercation between them. After further investigation and interviews, Michael David Treadway was placed under arrest and transported to the Polk County Jail, where he was charged with murder and booked in.
Michael David Treadway, is currently being held in the Polk County Jail on a $200,000.00 Bond, set by Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace, Terri Mayer.
