Scenic Loop Burglars Caught with Help from Witnesses, SCENIC LOOP, February 6, 2016 - Early Morning hours of Thursday, February 4, 2016, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at the Scenic Loop Grocery. When Deputies arrived the store entrance had been damaged by a bundle of firewood. The store is equipped with surveillance cameras which captured three male subjects breaking the door.
Deputies patrolled the area attempting to locate suspects. Witnesses were located and provided information about the suspects. Two persons of interest were located at the Stanley Cabins. Evidence was collected at their residence, linking them to the crime. The suspects are identified as Taylor Wayne King, 20 years old of Livingston, TX and a juvenile also of Livingston, TX.
King and the juvenile were charged with Criminal Mischief. King was booked into the Polk County Jail and the juvenile was released to guardians.
